Cedar and Castohn
The back of this garden was severely overgrown with multiple hedges and shrubs. It was inaccessible for gardening, and an old fence rotted inside the bushes.
We cleared the way and built a sturdy retaining wall with dimensional Castohn blocks. This allowed us to expand the usable planting area inside the yard and level it out. Along the top of the wall we built a cedar fence to add privacy and safety. A star jasmine is poised to climb along the arbor, and the Crepe myrtle will be a lovely pop of color when it blooms. Fresh plantings of autumn ferns and Mahonia ‘Soft Caress’ will fill in the new garden space.
